Joan Rochman was a member of the Intellectual Property Group at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP, a multidisciplinary law firm, nationally renowned for its intellectual property and litigation practices. Ms. Rochman focused on trademark prosecution and brand management. However, she was eager to cultivate her own practice, one that would effectively intersect her expertise with her interests. Rochman Slusser Law opened its doors in 2018 and her dream was realized. This intellectual property boutique is driven by Ms. Rochman’s passion to offer the full breadth of intellectual property services that her experience affords.

Ms. Rochman’s practice is focused on registration and maintenance of trademarks before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”), from the conception of trademarks, including assistance with branding strategies, screening, reviewing and advising of risk associated with potential new trademarks, to the protection of intellectual property rights by monitoring and policing of unauthorized use of marks, through to management of trademark litigation. Ms. Rochman manages multiple clients’ international trademark portfolios, domestic and foreign. In addition, Ms. Rochman has experience prosecuting and defending actions at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (“TTAB”) in the United States, and opposition and invalidation proceedings abroad. In addition, Ms. Rochman files Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (“UDRP”) complaints with the World International Property Organization (“WIPO”) to cancel infringing domain names. services
